The
jobs listed below are projects John Velge supervised before Bayard
Construction Company was started in 2001.
Construction supervisors do not only need to have a full working knowledge
of each phase and aspect of construction, but they must be highly organized,
motivated, and posses excellent human relation skills.
As
a construction supervisor I was required to over see at least twenty
different subcontracting companies, totaling about two hundred workers at
one time, ensuring that all work was absolutely correct. I was also
responsible for scheduling, coordination, and quality control for all job
site activities. I was required to complete different types of training such
as the OSHA 30 to ensure safety and jobsite discipline.
Each
day was started with a whole new set of problems that had to be solved
swiftly and with accuracy. I had to always maintain a well-organized and
safe job site in order to achieve success. |

Village at Lake Highland Apartments
At
this 384 unit apartment complex John Velge supervised all post tension concrete work, earth work, and construction of all buildings from drywall to completion. Quality control on all completed work and safety. |

Rehab Apartments at Archstone Bayshore
At this apartment
complex John Velge supervised the renovations and remodeling of 70 units. The renovations of the units included stripping all units back to drywall and installation of all new finishes. Also supervised and trained a six man crew for all work performed. |

At this 336 unit
apartment complex John Velge supervised all phases of construction from drywall through completion. Quality control on all completed work, and safety. |
